France is lucky it won this war. France would have been reduced to a colonial possesion of English lords and French tax would have been spent on England. The French would have also had to learn English to please their new overlords. The French nearly did become a English possesion again during WW2 when some Frenchman wanted to give France to England.

One thing that helped was how remote the peninsula was thanks to forest and hardly practicable roky soil. There was no road per say that allowed a army to propperly march into Brittany so it was more convignant to go by sea in the few ports. Overal despide being this close, conquering it would be more expansive.

No no you forget an important thing. Dönitz also launched an inquiry into the conditions of the concentration camps, acting as if the camps had came about in secret by the SS and Himmler and that the German army had totally nothing to do with it, giving birth to the myth of the ''clean wehrmacht''

But way later i look at that era map and realize that West Berlin is very deep inside East German and i wonder why the heck East German didnt try even harder to cut a hostile enclave right outside their capital.

Actually serbian nation was invented 200 years ago since russians liberated most of balkans from ottomans.. In modern serbia and montenegro local muslims (turks, kurds, albanians, arabs, gypsys, vlahs, chechens etc.) who made up almost 100% of population (read demography of evliya celebi) were slavized and christianized... And they became "serbs"... The reason why there are a few white serbs is that also a lot of hungarians, slovaks, croats, czechs, albanians, bulgarians were also serbized... There is not any single document that proofs existence of serbian people before ottomans in medival ages there were empires of raska, zahumije, zeta, paganija, duklja, different slavic kingdoms who were called "servi" slaves by byzantines because they were vazall states...they have nothing to do with modern serbs

If the Japanese went north and attacked Russia to gain Russian resources, it could've avoided war with the west. Then Germany wouldn't have to declare war with the US and they would've probably destroyed Russia from both sides and the UK wouldn't stand a chance alone.

It is very superficial. Lithuania was never "allowed", they regained independence at the earliest possible time. It would be fair to tell about full ideological, economical and military decay of USSR. Ideology sounded just funny then, people believing in Moscow talks about working people power and approaching communism were treated in Lithuania like flat earthers. Economics was ruined, shops were empty. Chernobyl exploded and showed stupidity and carelessness of government. Soviets held abhorrent war in Afghanistan, people hided young men from draft. Therefore even army then not supported the rotten government. There were very few people in army and KGB who tried to keep the country in place. Pskov paratroopers were employed to attack TV center and TV tower in Vilnius, they were shooting unarmed crowds there. (In 2022 Pskov paratroopers got killed in Gostomel airport). Regular army, ordinary soldiers in tanks spoke "too much meat there" and didn't attack parliament crowded around by thousands of citizens. Several days later there was 100 000 rally in Moscow to support Vilnius. Of course, political support from USA, Norway and other countries influenced Gorbachov as well. We're extremely thankful to all our friends, who supported us then. We're also thankful to Sweden and other countries who treated our wounded in the best hospitals. There were talks a student from my faculty will not be able to walk, but he walks well and works as a professor in Vilnius university.

Collectivists fighting amongst themselves is no different than the Catholics and Protestant's killing each other (Northern Ireland), or the Sunni's or Shite's killing each other, or National Socialists and Democratic Socialists, or Communists and Fascists attacking each other. It's all extremist Left on Left violence.

Firstly, Ottoman Empire is a muslim country and colonization is just against their religion, secondly their navy was the greatest navy at those times (according to the map in the video) so it wouldnt be hard for them to breakthrough the gibraltar and additionally Morocco was already under their influence and they were already a vassal of them so they already had the coast for the West, they had all the advantages to colonize but they we're muslims, so the only reason they didnt is becahuse they were muslims, not the ones you mentioned in the video

I wonder how the Second Polish Republic and Soviet Union affected Galicia-Lodomeria from 1939 thru 1945 and how Galicia's legacy boundaries create the contemporary friendship of both Poland and Ukraine in 2024 especially with Krakow and Rzeszow's Ukrainian communities and Lviv's current Polish Kresy. I also wondered how Little Entente (Czechoslovakia, Romania, and Yugoslavia) survived after 1945's Croatian-Romanian-Slovak Friendship Pact and how they still became friends with Hungary as Eastern Bloc Satellite States while Austria still recognize their current relationship of its successor countries (including Bosnia and Serbia) and Vienna's (and Budapest's) pre-1918 imperial boundaries beyond the Soviet's Iron Curtain border that were once ruled by the Habsburgs during the 1950s thru the Autumn of Nations during the 1980s both in the cultural and contemporary sense in society.
